Flowserve engineered the Limitorque QX Series B non-intrusive, quarter-turn electric actuator to deliver unmatched reliability along with advanced diagnostics. Its designed for the chemical, oil and gas, power and water industries and supports the sustainable use of resources within them.
The QXb actuator is IP68-rated to perform in these demanding applications. The double-sealed enclosure has a separate terminal compartment that prevents water ingress and eliminates the need for a heater.

The thoughtful, rugged design simplifies maintenance while improving reliability, safety and functionality. Latch and eject connectors replace easily lost screws and prevent connectivity issues. An independent handwheel disconnects the motor for manual operation. It can be safely engaged, even when the motor is running. And oil-bath lubrication eliminates re-greasing, extends service life, and enables the unit to be mounted in any orientation.

As previously mentioned, the QXb actuators design streamlines the user experience. A large high-resolution display with adaptive brightness control makes it easy to read from up to 9 meters (30 feet). Commissioning is up to 50% faster than the previous design. The intuitive interface rotates 180 degrees so the display can be read easily from any orientation. Youll spend less time on set-up and reduce errors, thanks to the non-intrusive rotary navigation knob and multi-language menu.

Advanced diagnostics also are included to help operators make better-informed decisions. Theres more storage capacity for superior process monitoring and data logging. Diagnostics and real-time data can be securely viewed locally or remotely over standard communication networks.
And the display and control electronics assemblies are backward-compatible to upgrade existing QX actuator units with a simple conversion kit.
